The right size. The right crop.
Three useful resize modes
Change the dimensions, not the subject.
Crop to fill creates the exact requested size while preserving proportions. Use the focus controls to keep the important part of the image in frame.
Fit within dimensions keeps the full image and returns the largest proportional size that fits inside the width and height limits.
Fit with padding creates the exact requested size without cropping. Choose a background colour or transparent padding for PNG and WebP.
How it works
Resize an image in three steps.
- Choose images and dimensions.Add one image or a batch, then select a common preset or enter the exact width and height you need.
- Choose how it fits.Crop to fill an exact frame, fit the whole image within limits, or add padding so nothing is cut off.
- Check and export.Adjust the focus, rotation, format and quality, then download one resized image or a batch ZIP.
Resizing questions
Keep the size and framing intentional.
Should I use crop, fit or padding?
Use crop for exact dimensions with no empty space, fit when the full image matters more than exact output dimensions, and padding when you need both the full image and an exact canvas size.
Does making an image larger improve its quality?
No. Enlarging creates more pixels but cannot restore detail that is not in the original. For the sharpest result, start with an image at least as large as the required output.
Can the added padding be transparent?
Yes, when exporting PNG or WebP. JPG does not support transparency, so padded JPG files use the selected background colour.
Can I resize several images together?
Yes. Choose multiple files, apply one set of dimensions and resize settings, then download the outputs in a ZIP.
