Which output format should I choose?
WebP is a practical default for modern websites, JPG is well suited to photographs, and PNG is best when you need transparency or crisp graphic edges.
How do I reach a specific file size?
Enter a target size in KB. The tool tests output quality and keeps the highest-quality result it can produce below that target, although very demanding targets may also require smaller dimensions.
Will compression reduce image quality?
JPG and WebP compression trade some detail for a smaller file. Compare the preview at the size where the image will be used and lower the quality only as far as needed.
What happens to transparency when I export JPG?
JPG does not support transparency. Choose the background colour that should replace transparent areas, or export PNG or WebP to keep them transparent.
